Good Goddess - I wouldn't go back to Chatfield for money. Maybe it's OK on weekdays. The Admiral and I had a slip by the ramp, and sat on our boat enjoying cocktails, and watching the shenannagans on the ramp until midnight. That was cheap entertainment! When Blue Mesa is really busy, it's 20 miles of almost empty water. All the boats are crammed into the Bay of Chickens, playing bumper-boats, trying to catch one of the seven Kokanee in the lake.

Yeah, the place gets a bit crazy! But when it's 15-20 minutes from the house it's a good option. We are usually on the water early fishing, and once it gets busy we either get back to the slip or toss out an anchor in one of the coves for the day. The ramp action at the marina is worth the price of admission!
