Will have to try those this summer. Already have a couple we use to (surprise!) scrape pans.

In the pole barn year round...with the miniature donkeys and assorted tractors and equipment. It wasn't in the plan when the barn was built so sometimes gets in the way and has to be moved or worked around. I probably should add another door just for the toon. It is by far the biggest thing in the barn.

September though April - Garaged

May - August- Wet Slip at Marina / No lift

Never had any problems with birds etc...water scum easily comes off when pulled out in September...power wash followed by Toon Cleaner from NAPA Auto parts ( mild acid)

Life is waaaay to short to obsess over keeping a boat clean during the season. I say enjoy...and worry about it after...my two cents....

Well I don't think that I'm obsessing in wanting a clean bottom.... :happy

My boats been in the water since June of last year and has not been used since Thanksgiving so the bottom is looking a might bit furry to say the least... LOL

I got her all cleaned up topside and added a few new options last time home... So this time home I'm going to pull her out long enough to build up a tow bar for tubing and if I can borrow a pressure washer I may do that but I don't look forward to driving into town just to find a car wash as that's at least 3 hours down the drain from where I lives.... I'd rather anchor out and clean her up with the wife while we enjoys a few beers and then perhaps enjoy a little something something extra afterwards....

wish I had a place on the lake with a boat house and lift, but that's not the case.. we keep our boat in an indoor storage facility which just happens to be right on the way to the lake... so it's very convenient... it's also nice that since my boat is always on the trailer, we can easily go to any other lakes or rivers we want to visit... but I'll admit it would be nice to just park the truck, walk to the boathouse and hit the water running without having to launch and load.....

Bottom paint was the best thing I have ever done to the boat. In the water from March till the first week in October after pull out what little is on it I can spray off with a hose or let it dry and just wipe it of with a brush. I will not spend one more minuet polishing my logs. have done it 3 times and have better then 30 hours doing it... not why I got the boat.. but that's just me!

Figured I'd take her out to an area with little traffic and jump in with a float and/or life jacket and some rubber gloves and have at it with the scrub pads.

Skip the rubber gloves, you don't need them.

That's how I do it. Spend about 30-40 minutes per trip at most. (I'll be in the water anyway right?) and scrub down all three tubes. It's pretty easy to do. One hand holds the boat, one hand scrubs.

Well my reason for the rubber coated gloves is not so much that my boat has been sitting in the water for near a year its that it has been sitting unused since Nov and we do sometimes get Zebra Mussels here and if your not expecting to find one the sharp edges on their shells can give you a nasty cut....

Ahhh, I see now. We're in a zebra mussel free lake so I never run into that.
