any ideas for using quick snaps with EZfenders?

My rails extend all the way to the edge of the deck. There was no room for the manufacturer to add a rear cleat so they installed eye bolts thru the railing and deck. Not the prettiest nor the easiest to use. Do you think that the carabiner and EZ Fender (with really long bolts) combo would work in lieu of a cleat for tie up to a dock?

Or, any other suggestions? As it is, I have to keep a dock line looped thru the eye bolts and drape it over inside the boat when underway.
