Pond Tuuunes, the lakes I boat on are about 1/2 hr from lake Mi, so alot of people call it a pond, and tuuunes for a couple reasons, it has 2 - 400 watt amps, and 12 speakers, its a tri tune, thats why there are 3 "U"s, and best of all, the awsome tune that comes out of the twin 4" above water exhaust. When I was a young kid my dad named his boat Anita D. I couldnt figure out why. Later on He told me it meant " I need a Drink" maybe I'll name my new boat I'm building "Anita D Too" in his memory. :beer2 :beer2 :beer2 :beer2 :beer2

My first boat was an 18" Four Winns named "Fuggedabaudit" !

When I bought my 24' toon I named the new one "A Pirate Looks At 40" after the Jimmy Buffett Song. The song about a guy who's life has taken a different course then what he thought his life was meant to be.

No name for the pontoon yet but a couple other boats I had with names were "The Green Machine" (boat was the colour green, not efficient "green") and my very first boat, a beat-to-hell aluminum Starcraft than ended up being called "Piece of Ship" after forever calling it a POS.

My dad picked up a project 1972 Chrysler Conqueror 318 Superbee that had already been named "AFTICA" which stood for "Another Fawking Thing I Can't Afford". (Ironically the project still hasn't been completed).

I had a 17 ft center console fishing boat it was named "That dam thing" it was what my spouse at the time used to call it while it was parked in the yard.

But the new (to me) pontoon has been christened "Emergency Fun" after the Dave Ramsey program where you are supposed to have an Emergency Fund. I have to figure where to put the name I was thinking about along the back not sure just yet..

Griswald, that's a great name. Maybe even consider putting a little "d" at the end with a line through it or a hand-written X crossing it out, turning "fund" into "fun". The name mentioned above of "Anchor Management" was also one of my favorites, and that rowboat dingy called "Row Vs Wade" is one of the best boat names I have ever heard. Good stuff. Fun thread.

:lol3 I keep coming back to Anchor Management as a name. Especially after a few of the episodes I have had lately chasing down my boat after it breaks loose from anchor. Might be time to place a vinyl letter order.
