From the pictures I see here it looks pretty clean. I can't tell what h.p. motor is on the back, what is it? The price is a little less than 1/2 of what it cost new IMO. The price of boats have gone up real fast in the last few years. I would offer 12,000 or 12,500 if the motor is 115h.p. and see what they say. Good used toons are hard to find without a lot of seating problems upholstry is usually shot on the ones around here after 5 or so years. So a nice clean one is a steal. Feel all the vinyl and see if it's still soft and if not pass it up.

Looks like a pretty nice TriToon. Like was said, start low and see what you can get it for.

in a different thread he does say it is a 115hp and it is a tritoon.

As I said before, I am a newb at this and I can tell you that if you are buying used find a good mechanic and YOU pay for a pre-purchase inspection of the motor before laying down any money. I had asked my salesman to do it and he said that he did, "everything looks great" only to find out later that his testing involved turning the key and if the motor fired up it was "good to go"

talk to the mechanic they should be checking
compression
leakdown
water pressure
and possibly

fuel pressure
oil pressure

And get them to perform full maintenance on it (spark plugs, oil change, filters, gearbox fluid change, water impeller)
Make sure you test drive it (try to rent it for a couple days if possible) there are things that you may not like or that you realize are not 'right' once you start using it.

With a used boat there is no warranty or guarentee so anything you want from the dealership needs to be done or in writing before you sign anything. After that you are on your own. So knowing who you are going to have working on it and how they are to deal with before you get started is important.

I would think for a 2002 anything, 14500 is high. Is the trailer included? How big is the engine, and how many hours. What condition is the upholstery? All these questions need to be asked to have any idea of price. Then if you think the price is fair you need to have a mechanic compression test the engine and give it a good once over. On my mercury I was able to get a print out the run hours and the corresponding rpms. Thus I was able to see if the engine was "babied" or "run hard"

I may catch holy hell for this but, I personally think that test driving is not a necessity. For me problem was all the boats I liked were 500 to 1000 miles away. I think that if you are familiar with the model of the boat, the manufacturer and their contruction, and you get enough pics, then assuming engine checks out, go for it.

The boat looks like it is in good shape.
