Good evening everyone-how do you determine the length of a shaft-I noticed motor specs of 25 inch shaft or a 20 inch shaft-thanks

Shaft length is measured between the inside top of the motor mount bracket (the clamp, the horseshoe, ect) and the front of the cavitation plate with the engine full trimmed in/down. Usually 20" "long shaft" motors usually measure 21"-22" and 25" "extra long" motors measure 26"-27"
