pontoon protective coatings

#1 Post by crookedlaker » Tue Sep 23, 2014 1:36 pm

Has any one used a product called Oxi-X which is a water based protective coating for Aluminum
looks similar to shark hide
it is water based with no VOC's
my neighbors have used it last weekend before they put boats away for winter
claim it is less expensive and easy to apply
i will probably try it next spring also

i am not affiliated with oxi-x in any way
just looking for a good product to protect my investment

I'm a true Sharkhide fan. 2 Tritoons, 2 coats on each pontoon. Looks as good 3 years later as it did from the day I put it on.
The water based may be just as good. Not sure. Try it and tell us about it!
