Re: GPS fishfinder
I have one on the front of my pontoon which works off the trolling motor transducer. It is has worked fine for two years. Does what I wanted, depth and location. I use it to mark spots in the river I want to fish again.

Re: GPS fishfinder
I bought one this winter for the same price and I think it will do what I want, depth finder with GPS, I mostly boat in rivers.
I think buying a depth finder is like buying a VCR in the old days...You need something to play the movies you rent, put the tape in and push play for $30...but you walk out with the $200 unit with all the bells and whistles, take it home and only put the tape in and press play. A bigger screen, color, more advanced sonar, blue tooth ...would be great but I think I will stick with this unit and see how it works.

Re: GPS fishfinder
That's quite a bit cheaper than the $1500 unit we just installed
For normal pontoon use, it should be just fine I'd bet.
