Carpet Cleaner?

#1 Post by Southerntoon » Mon May 18, 2015 2:35 pm

Hello

The rear entry/ladder area of our tritoon always looks dirty/molded/algae etc. and I can not seem to get it clean. I have tried a lot of cleaners - any suggestions?

I use a pressure washer as well but you have to be really careful with it. I just use Simple Green on my carpet...let it soak...pressure wash off.

Another option is using OXY10 form Costco. Try it in a small spot to make sure the carpet is ok with it.

Something that has worked well for me is something you can try with any cleaner you use or with just water. Get a shop vac and put it in wet mode, then just keep flooding the area with water, cleaner, whatever you are using. Use LOTS of water while sucking it up/out with the shop vac. Rather than rubbing cleaner into the carpet, let the shop vac do the work by pulling the water and cleaner (if any) back up out of the carpet. That always helps. Pull the crap OUT rather than in.
