Fueling Problem
Anybody else have a hard time putting gas in there tank? It takes forever to slowly put gas in my tank - to fast and it clicks the pump nozzle off. I assumed venting - so I have now run the vent tube from connecting with the filler tub to the side with a side mounted vent - no difference though? Also I notice that my fuel bulb will not get firm when priming. I hear some gas in it but it never gets firm/hard - still chasing performance issue with my motor.
Re: Fueling Problem
if bulb is not getting firm, I think that you may have a possible fuel or air leak.
Could be the source of your performance issues.
check around clamps, and maybe change the bulb.

Re: Fueling Problem
My Manitou did the same thing. I also put in a vent going into the side wall. I fond the fume sensors kept shutting down the pumps. I made a funnel out of PVC that I could screw in the fuel fill. Had to remove the caps security chain. But it worked great! You could put it in as fast as a car. The thread size on the fuel fill was 1 1/4 and a PVC adapter screwed right in. I have a pic yet somewhere, I'll try to find it. I think the funnel is out in the shed. I'll look for it. The Manitou and Premiers bulbs never do got hard, either. Not like my old Merc and Evinrudes, did. I think its got something to do with the fuel injection, or maybe its in the venting system.
Bama... Any ideas, Buddy?

Re: Fueling Problem
I just don't know what to say. "It won't get firm" and "having performance issues".
No really. I've had those fueling problems on our pontoon since day one. I've just learned to hold the fill nozzle so the exiting fuel is straight down the middle of the long curved fill tube. And I have to fill at about half speed.
I'm curious to see Bryan's fix.

Re: Fueling Problem
Is the curved tube aluminum or rubber hose? Some of the curved hose has a spring in it so the hose won't kink. This can cause a restriction and the fuel will back up causing it to kick the auto fill off. I would try to install a different fill tube or modify it if you can with as few of bends as possible. My pontoon has a side fill and I can fill it at full flow because it has small curves in the fill tube even though it has 4' of hose.

Having the same problem with our 2015 Bentley.
Was going to post here today since I had to gas it up yesterday so thanks for already posting this.
I've found if I turn the handle of the gas pump almost totally upside down while it's in the filler tube of the boat, I can squeeze the pump handle almost full and it pumps for about 1 minute before clicking off. If I hold the pump handle in the normal position and try to squeeze it full, it clicks in about 5 seconds tops.

Re: Fueling Problem
I went to Tractor Supply and bought one of those large funnels with a foot long corrugated hose. I cut the end of the hose off and it's a 1" tube--fitting tight in the vertical fuel filler. Since I carry my own fuel down to my boathouse in Jerry cans, I can fill my pontoon faster than before.
I just got a 14 gallon rolling Gas Buddy. I'm going to cut the "pump" off the end of the rubber tubing and use a come-a-long to get the whole can higher than my boat. Gravity should make my fuel flow acceptable when I open the air vent on the gas can.
City gasoline vs. lake gasoline is about $1.50 per gallon. I still don't know how the neighbors running all the Fountains, Cigarettes and big Donzi's afford $250 per engines hour in gasoline.

Ah Crap! I forgot to take that picture!---------------------------> heading to the shed, right now!!!
....... Here it is, this took care of my fueling problem with the Manitou.
It was 1 1/2" Diameter, not 1 1/4" like I think I stated above...
They say the first thing to is your...
Shit, I forgot, what is it?
Anyway, it took gas as fast as I could give it afterwards, the only down fall was I had to take off the lanyard. I only the lost the cap once at LotO, looked like a giant Moltov cocktail with that red rag stuck in the fuel fill on the way home!
