New guy here. I'm just a lurker right now. I'm looking to buy my first boat within the next few months and I'm squirreling away money. Whether or not there will be a rebuild depends on what I end up with. Until then, I'll be learning from your experiences.
I have an electrical background, but not naval, so their will be some things I will need to learn about grounding and such. I work on emergency power equipment for a living.(UPSs) I'm a USAF vet and have 3 (mostly grown) sons with my wife of almost 27 years. I keep chickens for the eggs. Anyway, you now know me. I look forward to getting to know you guys.

Hello henpecked and welcome to the forum. waiting a couple of months may be a good thing as that would be nearing the end of the boating season for some parts of the county. It would make sense you could find a better deal on a boat then as opposed to just before the season begins. whatever you get, have fun shopping...any questioins, fire away, a lot of knowledge about all things boat on this forum..
