New parts question

#1 Post by Mrtoler » Mon Feb 25, 2013 9:05 pm

I've got some spare change burning a whole in my pocket and I'm going to go ahead and order some of the small things I need on my pontoon that I never did finish.. Like finish out the sink area with holding tank and pump and the counter top. I also never got my gauges, I'm going to get the teleflex lido gauges I'm thinking of a tach, fuel, trim, water pressure and volt gauge. My problem is on the trim gauge they say it works with most brands but I don't see Johnson listed! So will it work with my 96 Johnson 112? And what's involved with the water pressure gauge installation?
Thanks Ryan

I hardly ever look at my trim gauge, but the other gauges you mentioned are monitored often.
I don't have a water pressure gauge, no help here, you'll have a Johnson guru post info on that for you. I just watch the pisser like it was a gauge.
Good luck with the install, you did a fine job restoring your toon.

Ryan,

not sure how much trim would be used... :rofl :rofl

I watch my water pressure gauge ALL the time. Power for the light and a water line to motor is all you need.

Google psi port for your motor.

My fuel wasn't working..I think it was the sending unit.

Thanks, I hear alot of ppl say that the trim gauge is useless but since I can't see my engine from the helm I think it would come in handy since I'm often trimming my motor up at stops and I always have to walk to the back to make sure the motor is down before we take back off..
