I'm in the market for new seats. I was gonna go with ones from Veada, but from what I can tell, there's hardly any room in the bases. Then I came across the premium deckmates from PS. After a lot of searching and seeing a ton of pics of these seats on other toons, I've decided to get them. Since quite a few of the forum members have them, I was hoping for some feedback on them.
1. Are they as nice as they look in all the pics I've seen?
2. Do they hold up well over time?
3. Is there enough room in the bases to house large batteries?
4. Do the sizes run true? I measured one spot on my boat and I come up with about a 1/2 inch clearance based on the sizes they give.
5. With my current wood framed seats, I cut a big hole where 2 of them join together so that I can store my fishing rods inside them. Since the deckmates have plastic bases, I'm thinking I may be able to fabricate some aluminum squares or rings to sandwich two seat bases together then cut the centers out so I can use them for rod storage like my old ones. Anyone have an opinion as to weather that'll work?
I'm sure I'll think of some more questions in a little bit.
Thanks.

Yeah, I was a little surprised to not get any feedback. But I bought them anyway. You can view my project here viewtopic.php?f=16&t=18956 . I'd suggest requesting vinyl samples before purchasing just to make sure you're okay with the colors. I chose the Ivory colored ones and they're not as white as they appear on the website or in other photos I found. But I'm very happy with them. I had one problem with a seat base and the owner saw my complaint about it and messaged me about it before I even got around to contact them. Their customer service is superb, and is a big reason I chose to go with them. I'll be ordering a few more things from them on Monday.
