fuel pick up tube
I have a 2005 sun tracker pontoon the pick up tube has deteriorated and has broken off, the replacement one, you have to cut, how far from the bottom of the tank is correct, Bradford Marine says a few inches, the tank isn't that deep. can someone advise?

Go within a 1/4 inch you want it to pick up all the fuel but still leave a little room for water to go

The end should also be cut at about a 45 degree angle...
Just one boat...after another, after another

I was going to say to cut it at a 45 degree angle. That's how the siphons on my Moeller 12 gallon portable tanks are.

Yep, the factory pickup on my Party Cruiser was 1/4 inch from the bottom and cut flat. Replacement p/u was cut 45 degrees, so the plastic tank manufacturer must have had issues...
