Dried off the toon, ate lunch and the rain stopped about 1:30 so we got it in the water this time, only trouble was, the prime fishing time were 9:30 till 11:30 when the rain was the hardest and then with the cold front that came by killed all the fishing, a few weeks ago we were in the spot I was fishing in and you could see fish working the water and a lot of top water action, but it was dead after the storm, but hey we got out and that's the main thing.
Here's my crew, since I had no ideal what it was going to do I didn't invite anyone to come out with me, that and the fact I don't know the fishing spots on this chain of lakes yet so I took the dogs
Turned out not to be the best with my brother's dog, he is still a puppy, when gun goes off he wants to see something fall and ever cast he wanted a fish to jump on right away, he wanted to action and whinnied and barked all the time I was fishing, he is staying home next time.
But I stayed out till 6:30 with rain coming and going, the 10 foot Bimini top kept me dry anyway, never even had a hit on my plastic worms and couldn't even find anything to come up and eat bread, but that's why they call it fishing not catching, even all the people I passed fishing under the bridges weren't catching anything.
Oh by the way since it was hot the day before and still quite warm I left the house in shorts, the temp went from 88 to 63 quick, as least I had my long sleeve shirts with me so at least my upper body stayed warm anyway and I did have my rain coat to throw over my legs when running the boat, but that's Fla this time of year, get hot, rain, then get cold, repeat
While I was pulling the boat I was smelling coolant and was getting a noise, water pump going out again, I guess two years is all you get out of one, so that's what I get to do today
