Boat is ready
Here's some pix of my boat. Just got it done. This past winter we did a bit of work on it. On the front deck we replaced the carpet, reinforced (factory Tracker furniture is cheaply made) & re-upholstered the furniture. Removed & repainted all body panels. Underskinned the front 12' & aft 10' (aft of rear toon). Added direct beam docking lights, fixed all squawks (old boats usually have a lot of little things needing attention, sent the generator out for a thourough check-up, cleaned the logs & installed a new fish/depth finder w/speed gauge. Did the standard tune-up on the engine, lubed all, etc.
Should be putting it in this week (between Grafton & Alton IL on the Mississippi.)

I really like the maroon carpet and all seating and upholstery to match it. You've really done a terrific job on your boat.
Too bad they're so hard to find (at a fair price) on the used market. I had my eye on one at a very low price locally, but didn't move fast enough.
Congratulations!

Re: Boat is ready
Thanks, I'm kind of proud of it, or at least all the work I've done to it. There apparrently wasn't a lot of these boats made, but I've seen a couple of this year (1994) boats for around $17-18k for sale, but not in this condition. I plan on recarpeting the inside & rear deck next winter & maybe adding a microwave & another amp & spkrs for the cabin/rear.
The hull is 32', the engine adds a bit more length. Weighs 5800 lbs dry. Quite underpowered with only 115 hp. The boat's not fast. It's like a camper on floats with a patio.

belercous.... wow, you did a great job on your party cruiser....I really like the color scheme... she looks great.... hey, you live in my old stompin grounds..... I was born and raised in a little steel mill town called Granite City... used to run around in the alton and grafton area... think one of the places we used to go as a family was called pier marquette ( or something like that.) again my friend, your boat looks great.

That toon looks awesome, but I think you'd have to live on water, I can't imagine towing that around too many times. Did it have the camper section on it when it was new?
I am going to have to steal that mirror on winch post idea, I end up hooking up my trailer a lot by myself...
Yesterday I spotted this one at a local dealer.. and if you want to talk about under powered...

Re: Boat is ready
Very well done, I'm partial to Party Cruisers
Love the older ones that have the helm out front and more room in the cabin. Yeah they are scarce and high priced on the used market (all years). Since there was no 2012 PC, that will get the prices higher. I contacted Tracker asking if PCs and Party Huts had been discontinued and got a generic answer. When I asked if the PCs are coming back for next year, all the chat person said was "I hope so" (seriously)

Pardon my asking but where is the powder room?

Re: Boat is ready
The boat gets put in the water at the begining of the summer & taken out once it starts getting cold. No way would I want to haul this thing around & deal with loading & unloading it. The boat/trailer combo is about 45' long & weighs over 4 tons.
The camper section was factory, I mostly just restored the boat. One of the sofas is a hideaway bed. The restroom/shower is opposite of the sink.
Pere Marquette state park is just upriver of the marina I'm going to be at. We cruise by it a lot. The marina is just below Grafton where the Illinois joins the Mississippi. Pere Marquette is on the Illinois. Just downstream a few miles at Alton, IL the Missouri joins the Mississippi. We have to go through the locks to get there.

How is the harbor at Pere Marquette?
I'm only about an hours drive away from the river. I have been over and launched at Kampsville on the IL river and cruised down to Grafton when we had a runabout. I would like to head down that way with the toon, but Kampsville is a long day trip, I was looking to launch somewhere closer to Grafton. Last time I was down there you couldn't use the launch at Pere Marquette because it was silted in. I know they dredged it a couple years ago. Was just curious if it's a good launching spot now or not?
