Hey everyone, just picked up a new Xcursion x23rfc. Haven't even got it in the water yet but hopefully in the next couple days I will go get her wet. We put a 115 Yamaha on the back so hopefully that will be enough power to haul around with. We also got a BBQ for it that mounts on the rail.
I am still a little concerned as I have never been on a pontoon boat before so I don't really know what we are getting into. We are going from a 1975 14 foot fiberglass with a 50 johnson on the back so I am pretty sure the upgrade will make things much more comfortable for the family.
Apparently the model I got is new for Xcursion and you can't find really any info on it anywhere. It has the fishing set up in the back and all cruising out front.... I guess the pictures will show you more.
What are some must haves I need to make this an easy boating experience for myself and family?

Littlehoe... congratulations on the new toon.. very very nice.... and you're right, the comfort factor is what convinced us to go with a toon... I look forward to just about every weekend as we almost always go out at least one day of the weekend, twice if possible....What I love about toons is the ability to get up and stretch your legs, move around without worrying about rocking the boat. My only fear when I bought our toon was loading it on the trailer... that is now a thing of the past..... if I bought another boat tomorrow, it would be a pontoon... and thanks for the pics.

Ha! After one day on that toon you won't even want to look at your fiberglass ever again.

Thanks all... I am from Saskatchewan.
And I guess I should explain the name a bit, I own a compact excavating company called Little Hoe Excavating, thus where the name comes from...

That's neat. I have a tattoo on my weiner that says "Swan". When it gets hard it says "Saskatchewan".

Littlehoe: Welcome and nice looking boat!
You asked about must haves. Get a telescoping boat hook. It's great for catching and holding on to docks and other boats.
Also, if you plan to be out after dark ( I know, it doesn't get dark in your part of Canada this time of year until well after 10:00 p.m.), you should have a flashlight that can also serve as an emergency beacon. I've seen them, just can't remember where.
I'm sure there are lots of other items beside beer (cork screw comes to mind) and a bottle/can opener.
Good boating!!
