Fellows, I need some opinions.
A local seller has a nearly spotless 14x12 SS prop for sale, the numbers cast into the hub are 48-17312-12. Google is leading me to believe that it's an older version of the Mercury Vengeance 48-17312A46 (before they started stamping the logo in the side of the prop). Am I correct?
He wants $145 (I bet I can get him to take $120) and the prop has hardly a scratch on it. I figure even if I can't use it I can resell it without a loss.

I believe if you go to the Mercury web site there is an area under props with all their numbers.

Yes, thats a Vengeance, probably has the pressed hub in it, instead of the Flo-Torque insert and at one hell of a good price! Buy it! Like you said, if you can't use it, you can resell it and make some cash on it.
