First Boat was a 1976 Crestliner, 70 Evinrude, from the first ride, I was hooked.
then...
84 19 foot Checkmate Pulsar, 175 Mercury
85 Forrester 164 Phantom, 150 Force
87 Forrester 190 Escape, Cuddy, stock was a 205 HP 4.3 OMC replaced with a 377 stroker motor from my neighbors Unlimited Modified Stock car. What a blast!!!
93 Baja 22' Twilight Cruiser, 415 hp 502, funnest boat!
95 Baja 272 Boss, 525 Mercruiser, Poker Run Edition. Fastest boat, Ran alot of Poker Runs and Offshore Events.
Then, gas prices exploded! Last 1 day Poker Run cost me $1500.00 in gas. Family growing with Grand kids... Thats it! Time for a pontoon boat!
2007 Manitou Oasis, 250 Etec, CMC Jackplate, countless hull/pontoon modifications, done with Manitou. Fun Boat. Great times. Great manufacturer! No problems, but no Dual windshields will be offered. I sold 16 Manitou's for the company!
Now, 2008 Premier S-Series, Dual Windshields for my wife!!! 225 Merc Verado with an Eric Simons Racing 310 horsepower ECU. not as fun as the Manitou but very well appointed. Wife loves it. Really handles the Lake of the Ozarks good, (maybe not as good as the Manny, the flat PTX center tube, slams on re-entry) Warranty issues! The company sucks so far! Has a 5 year Bow the Stern warranty, my steeering wheel is cracked all the way around, even cut my right index finger on it. Been checking to see if its covered now for over a month. Owners are involved, still no answer, and my electrical tape is peeling off it! See if I sell one of these to a friend. NOT!
Like I told Greg from Manitou... There is a Premier in my slip, but a Manitou in my heart!

And I hope someone from Premier reads this!

I hear you brother. My current boat was built from a pile of Premier parts. I think it was dumped as a blemish because of a dent in the tube. I have had a number of leaks (so many that I put sump pumps in the tubes). When I contacted the company with a couple of questions, they actually hung up on me! I am ashamed to admit that they are from Minnesota.
Fortunately, I am moving on to a South Bay build. Looking at a 383Mag Stroker for oomph.
