Boat cover water repellant

I cleaned and sprayed my boat cover today with water repellant spray from Walmart. On top of making it look a little more like the origianal color, the rain beaded off like crazy when it rained. I will probably give it one more coat tonite if it is dry since the cover was so needy. I used three cans to do my 21 foot.....By the way, you might consider wearing a shirt when you spray. My chest was also water repellant by the time I was done!

Does it say anything about UV protection. I've been using 303 Fabric Guard which is rather expensive ($54/gal).

I spray this Star Brite water proofing on our cover in the Fall and Spring it's cheaper than 303.

I also use 303 Fabric Guard on the convertible top on my car.

The manufacturer wholeheartedly recommends the stuff, and it's supposedly good for 3 years or so.
