Calling Berkshire Owners..

#1 Post by russelljackson » Fri Jul 27, 2012 3:35 pm

Hey Guys,

Just wondering, $34K for this boat, is that a good deal, so so deal? Seems ok to me, but I expected better with it being a 2011.

Here's what they said about it... This boat has a Yamaha 150 4-stroke engine and is loaded
with options such as: Privacy hoop and curtain, Vinyl Floor Upgrade,
Humminbird Color GPS, Stainless Steel Portable Cup Holders, Vinyl Rub
Rail, 2 Additional Stereo Speakers, Amp and Subwoofer and LED Courtesy
Floor Lighting. This boat is new and never been in the water. I can
offer this boat at a discounted price due to it being a non-current
year model for $33,900.00.

I got pretty much the same options on our 2011 Silver Wave pontoon including trailer with a Honda 150 for just a tad over $30,000

I have never priced Berkshire, but most tritoons I have priced (Avalon and Bennington) with these options are closer to the 40 range than the 30 range, and this is usually for a 22ft not a 24ft. I think if you like the layout and the color, it is a good price. I do not think you are overpaying at all.

Recently (2 months ago) I was looking at a 2011 (leftover) 22ft Paradise Elite Avalon, 150 Yammy, Tritoon etc for 43000 with trailer. Trailer being worth about 3000, price for boat was about 40 G's. I didnt get to negotiating, but they had already dropped the price from about 48000, and I do not think they were going much lower, maybe 38.

Go for it :nana :nana :nana :nana

BTW, the power assist is worth an extra 2000 on top of the hydraulic cost..., the boat I was looking at did not have PA

It looks like a very solid buy.

I've heard nice things about Foothills--also a Manitou dealership. I think they also have a location around Greenville, SC--130 mi NE of Atlanta.

That's not a bad price. We own a Berkshire and love it. I'm glad that your getting a Yamaha instead of the Mercury. The boat is rock solid and handles large waves with ease.
If you like it, buy it, you won't be dissapointed.

Looking at there site it looks like a mid-line boat and has added options. This looks to be a fair deal on this boat. From the ones I have seen at dealers not Berkshire it is priced about like a new Sun Tracker 22 ft Regency with the performance package. If you like what you see then it is a good deal. These boats keep getting higher and higher every year. I would start at 31,000.00 and deal up from there. I would not be afraid to go to 34,000.
