I saw a quad-toon while in Texas

#1 Post by spurhunter » Fri Aug 10, 2012 7:46 am

I forgot to mention this, but while fishing Lake Tawakoni last month I saw a guy with a 4-log toon. He was idling by me but I hollered out asking him if he had installed them himself which he said he did. I wish I was able to get some more info from him. Anyone have any experience with this?

Seems to me that by the time you get that many logs under it, you might as well go to some sort of regular fiberglass hull, like a conventional ski type boat. I guess you would still have the regular

pontoon deck, though, with the four pontoon configuration, just seems awfully busy underneath there with four.

There was a guy from PDB that built a quad 'toon, it was pretty cool. Forget his name/username though.

He had a normal engine pod and installed the extra to logs outside of the existing logs by extended the mounting brackets, it was pretty cool.
