I taking my boat out of the water,What the best way to clean the toons after being in the water for the summer,Any advice

Pressure washer before it dries much works well for starters.

Yep as soon as possible after taking it out of the water. Around here, the marine growth we have hardens fast, especially in this heat.

Pressure wash the toons as soon as possible. A little diluted bleach doesn't hurt.

If you really want'em clean, spray on the muriatic acid based toon cleaners you can get at boat dealerships. It'll "cloud" the aluminum, but they'll be clean. You'll have to wash the cleaner off with a lot of water.

If you want the boat to look as good as it can be, get after it with aluminum polish and plenty of elbow grease. You'll need a bunch of towels to get off the black oxidation. Clean the toons with lacquer cleaner until no black comes off.

Then, put two coats of Sharkshide to the newly shined areas to protect the toons and maintain the shine.

Most aluminum brightners (acids) are hydroflouric acids/sulfuric acids blends, not muratic acid (Hydrochloric). If you use an aluminum brightner it will leave a clean but dull finish. I use an aluminum brightner on my toons at the beginning of each season. If you have any anodized surfaces be careful not get any on it.

Pressure washer but if not available try the scotch brite pads they come in a variety from coarse and lighten up from there. I have used brillo/sos on my old toon while in the water. It cleaned an gave a certain amount of shine to them.

Pink coil cleaner and a pressure washer. Theres no better or easier way IMO.
