Just started my bottom painting project, and the biggest obstacle is getting the boat off the trailer and supported.
Question, once off the trailer can I support the boat at the weld seams on the pontoons? The dealer has not got back to me yet on this, so I thought I would ask here.
Supporting the toon off the trailer..

From what i have read, yes at the welds. there are supposed to be bulkheads at each weld.
But, i would wait to hear from your dealer to confirm that.

It is really best to support it under a number of stringers. The pontoons are not the heavy part of the boat and if you are painting them you want easy access.

When my marina did the bottom painting on my boat, they used a travel lift and lowered it onto blocks at each log's "bulkhead". No problems at all with a 5500 lb (dry) boat...

Now when I repaint or touch up, I just leave it on the trailer and jack one side up at a time, paint, let it dry, lower the jacks and do the other side.
