seat comparisons
Anyone recently compare Veada and PontoonStuff.com seats? I'm planning a swap out of all of my furniture at the end of the season. PontoonStuff is cheaper, plastic, and thicker. Veada isn't plastic, costs more, and the seats aren't as thick.
Thoughts?

Re: seat comparisons
I looked at all the easy to get pick one of 5 color seats and wasn't really happy with the look of bare plastic bases. I ended up getting my stuff from american soft trim. You have to wait longer but the color choices and over all look is much better imo. The plastic they use isn't roto mold it's more like sheets of plastic cut and the frames are built like plywood then cover with matching material. Just another option to consider.

Re: seat comparisons
I just installed "Wise" seating on my boat and like it so far for the price, Pontoonstuff used to carry Wise and I think there "new" lines are still Wise with a "private label" name. For the price I like my wise seats but time will tell how the plastic hold up, right now its got a bit of give to it when someone sits down and I have to wonder if it will crack someday down the road if the plastic gets brittle.

Re: seat comparisons
I have new Veada seats, they do sell plastic bases. mine are 14 months old. used them mostly because after my dry dock refit they were the only ones that would fit my needs
Re: seat comparisons
Ya I thout veada sold seats with plastic bases....I have the pontoonstuff wise seats they are ok, I've had to get a couple cushions replaced by warranty because they faded...I still wish I had went with veada because they really look custom and you can order them any color combo you want

Re: seat comparisons
As of yet they don't do custom sizes, but they did sell me foam and fabric to mach my new seats and I had the sun deck mad locally.
Re: seat comparisons
Definitely not. DeckMate is PontoonStuff's trade marked private line of seating...rancherlee wrote:I just installed "Wise" seating on my boat and like it so far for the price, Pontoonstuff used to carry Wise and I think there "new" lines are still Wise with a "private label" name. Just one boat...after another, after another
Re: seat comparisons
I completely rebuild my toon this year with Veada's Regatta line. It definately wasn't the least expensive option but the boat now looks brand new. I love the seats and their customer service has been exceptional. The boxes are made of plastic and are covered with the matching vinyl. One nice thing about the boxes are they are water tight. They channel them with drains and so far, I don't get any leakage. Good luck with the rebuild.

Re: seat comparisons
I have rebuilt 2 toons. On the first one I bought a complete interior from Pontoon Stuff. I was never happy with it at all. As soon as the boxes showed up and they all said Made in China all over them I knew I had made a mistake. The vinyl was thin and cheap. The corners ripped at the seams in no time. In fact a few cam out of the box that way new and had to be returned rite away. I would never do that again.
On my second build I had a local upholstery shop re-do the original interior with colors I chose. I wanted to be sure the seats would all fit like factory and that the front seats matched the radius of the fencing perfectly. It was quite a bit more expensive but SO SO worth it IMO.
