Blemished EzFenders for sale through website, sticky ended.

#1 Post by Bryden24shp » Thu Aug 16, 2012 9:51 am

My anodizer messed up 50 pairs of EzFenders. Instead of coming out with the normal "Hammered" finish, they came out completely gray. See the picture for the difference. I can't sell them to my retailers like this, because they will need to change all of their advertising. And then reverse it on the next order after these sell.
I added the blemished units to the website. http://www.ezfender.com and have the information there. There are still a few pairs available, if interested.
Thanks to all of you have bought these. Post some pictures of them installed! Especially ROLAND!

Folks I want to chime in here.... never met Bryan, only know him thru this forum... but I ordered 3 pair of these ez fenders for my boat several months back... liked them sooooo much I ordered 3 more pair for my son's boat... these ez fenders are very very well made and will really simplify hanging those fenders.... easy to install, easy to use and will last a lifetime....... in my opinion a great product....

Bryan:

I got home last night and had a nice package waiting on me. After opening the package up, I have a few comments:

A - Don't take this the wrong way but I was not expecting this level of quaility (especially for the price). The product is of the highest quality and was much more than I expected.

B - While I am glad I took advantage of your offer, I call "BS" on it being part of a "blemish" batch. Not sure why anyone would consider these to have factory blemishes.

C - The product is smaller and less intrusive than I thougt it would be. I guess seeing pictures on the web does not do the size justice. I was a bit concerned about the product having a slight overhang on my rail and possibly interfering with my snap on cover but the size looks to be perfect.

Thank's for the prompt shipping and I can't wait to get them installed and congratulations on a fantasic product!

Thanks for the comments, Bob! The BS is just for bookkeeping. (Blemished Supply) So I can keep the inventory straight. Never thought about the BS, 'til now, Thats good!, The reason I called them blemished, is just because of the color difference. Like I said before, I kinda like the color, but my retailers don't because to sell them to the public, they will need to redo all advertisements, or they could be subject to false advertising, just because they don't look like what is advertised.
Get those babies on and let me know how you like them! Send some pictures of them in use, I'll toss them on the website!
Thanks, Bob!

So in the picture they are sitting on an aluminum rail? How do they compare in color to aluminum?

I got mine and they are great Bryan.
One thing you may want to look at is the pattern on the package is off about an eighth of an inch. Caused a little problem on the first one but then marked the drill holes with an ez fender and it worked great! Thanks!

They are a very close match, John. I like the way they turned out, actually. But, the color has to be consistant to sell them to my distributers. The ones to the right are how they should be, the hammered finish insures a consistant match. Where the clear anodized, non hammered, does not. The aluminum stock we make them from can vary in color from a brilliant silver to dark gray, then the mismatch colors start. My anodizer says there is no way to do a silver anodization on them to make them match, so we do the hammered finish.
I like the silver ones! Wish I could make them work all the time.

Texoma Toon, I just grabbed one and compared it to the template. Yep, you're right. Thanks for letting me know! Somehow the labels got downsized! It's fixed! Glad you like them! No complaints on almost 2000 pairs sold in the last 2 years.

Thanks Guys!
