Temp boat trailer mods to hold Toons?

#1 Post by GoFastr » Sun Sep 16, 2012 10:48 am

Anybody ever take a standard boat trailer with bunks and "temporaily" McGyver it to hold a pontoon boat for out of water maintenance? Got a trailer that is setup to hold my 32' v-hull powerboat and have the toon on the boat lift. Need to get it out of the water to one, change the impeller and do some other quick maintenance actions.

I imagine you could get four 4x4s and a couple 16' 2x8s with some rug scraps on them. My trailer is a regular Magic Tilt with four 2x2 steel square tube and rollers. It has worked great for a quarter century and thousands of road miles.
