Vinyl Decking for my tri-toon weekender
Finally got my boat under the brother-in-laws pole barn so it could dry out and allow me to install the Marideck vinyl flooring. You can do this by yourself,I did,but and extra set of hands would be helpful.I gave the new 3/4" marine plywood deck a good sanding with a belt sander to knok down any burrs that could poke a hole in in the vinyl and then swept it with a push broom.Just follow the instructions and things should go well. One tip is to work out any bubbles as you go,say every four foot section of decking,I did it using my foot, much like kicking carpet,it works well. Also, make sure you have good lighting or you won't see the smaller bubbles. The color is Ocean Blue but it doesn't show well in this picture because it's parked in the shade, those are shadows not bubbles.

You have a great foundation to work with with quality marine plywood.
I have found that one of those heavy steel vinyl floor rollers is mandatory when installing any kind of vinyl floor OR carpet on a pontoon boat. They're available at any rental yard.
I didn't use a roller, and my last carpet job had some bubbles, etc. I learn from my mistakes.
