This is a special order South Bay in Lake Havasu.

Story is it cost about $140,000 and clocks in at 78 MPH.

You can buy a 2005 Playcraft with twin 300 Verado's for a little less than $60k (maybe less if you push hard enough). It's on consignment at Marty's Marine in Osage Beach, MO.
The service guy said it would easily do mid-70s.
I have no connection with this, just passing on the info.

You can buy new 300 Verados for about twenty grand each, that gives you 20 to build a boat. You should be able to build a pretty stout one for that.

A 600 HP pontoon boat ? Seriously ?

Someone bumped their head somewhere.

However, you can see some wild and wonderful things at Lake Havasu...

My buddy owns the biggest resort there and they use to rent houseboats and everyone from "Girls Gone Wild" to you name it used to rent them.

It got ridiculousy stupid after awhile and they finally sold them all. ...cept for the 52 footer I can get when I go there. :nana

At the LOTO Shootout in August (he ran last year as well), there was a South Bay with 3 300 Verado's. Did 112 mph this year.
So, $60 k just for engines; wouldn't want to know how much the rest of the boat goes for.

Sorry it was 3 300X Mercury racing motors that Mercury stopped making some years back. They weigh about 150lbs less per motor than the Verados and are two Strokes not Four Strokes.

Would that be Forever Resorts ? Didn't they rent out My Yachts ? Always wanted one, but never got any real world reviews of them.

BMR: Havasu Springs Resort. http://www.havasusprings.com/index.html

It was just house and pontoon boats. They have a few 24' Gregor and Grumman's renters and we could have just taken one of those any time we wanted, but we wanted our own ( which we'll get to NorCal, Eagle and Almanor Lakes and into CO with once I retire).

I think this one was a "My Yacht". It was a 57 foot we rented on Lake Powell

The boat itself was pretty well build but the interior was fairly spartan. Cheap paneling and framing lumber beds.
I suppose being a rental, they didn't want anything too nice.
