Verado Parts club saved me $46.00 Vs local dealer

#1 Post by Bryden24shp » Wed Oct 10, 2012 7:31 am

Hey guys with Verados... Just a quick note. My local dealer wanted $214.00 for a 100 hour maintenence kit, (2 gallons of CC oil, 1qt of LU lube, an oil filter, prop nut kit and oil/LU plug gaskets) a LU lube and a CC oil funnel and an inline fuel filter. Going through the Verado Parts Club it was $168.00 Shipped to my house. Why the local dealers think they have us by the gonads is nuts with the internet around! They are just loosing customers by price gouging.
Heres the link to the club... http://www.veradoclubparts.com/ You do not have to be a member to buy from Andy.
Hope to save ya some money, you can stick in your fuel tank, instead... Fuel prices-Crazy! (or grab some EzFenders instead!) :biggrin2

Is there a Mercury 4-Stroke Parts club?

That I'm not sure of, Bob. But Andy sells everything Mercury offers through the dealership and they carry Yamaha and VolvoPenta, as well. You can get ahold of him through email, andyjr@shipyardisland.com

I bought 6 quarts of oil, an oil filter and a quart of gear lube @ WalMart last week for my 20 hour initial maintenance. It cost me about $28 excluding sales taxes.

I had to buy a new oil filter wrench to get the filter off. The strongest person on earth pound for pound has to be the little Japanese man that screws on the oil filters at the Yamaha factory.

The oil/filter change and lower unit oil change took about 1/2 hour.

I just hope my grandson doesn't get mad at me for getting a little oil in his plastic swimming pool.

Its UV protection, right? :thumbsup S'all good!

I just got another $10.80 refunded to me from them on top of it, because the shipping was cheaper than they expected.
