My new to me purchase

#1 Post by Mrtoler » Mon Oct 22, 2012 7:46 pm

I've had some money burning a whole in my pocket for awhile and I've finally spent it. I'm doing a 3rd toon on my boat and in a way I'm doing it the hard way, since I'm a looks guy and I've put so much hard work into my rebuild I want it to look good. Since one log on my boat had a BIG dent in it and isn't really repairable I plan on replacing it but I don't want my port and starboard logs to be mis matched so I'm going to replace them both with the logs of the boat I just bought. I will then take the original log that dosent have the dent and build the custom transom on it. I know it's a ton of work and that ok since I have all the tools/equipment to tackle this job and I really enjoy this kind of project/challenge. On another note, my wife and dad suggested putting a few seats and stuff on it and selling it to make a grand or so! Here's the deal with the boat, she wanted $2,400 for boat trailer motor and console. Since my intentions where the tube swap I ended up buying it without a trailer and motor or console and I spent $1,000. It has new carpet on it and the floor is solid, I really want the 3rd toon but I haven't ruled out the rebuild and sell yet...here's some pics....thoughts appreciated?????

Ok here was the only problem with them and it's on both them but I'm pretty sure it's fixable

Fixable I don't think so, unless you have them cut and welded. just my :2cents

I'm having a blast on my rebuild. I found a bent cross member that's at the machine shop, but other than that its going swimmingly. I like your idea and I wouldn't throw the ole sun tracker away. I mean, a spare boat! How cool is that?!?

I'd outfit it with a roll-up Shek tent, an ice maker, generator, blender and a jacuzzi and tow it to the beach. :biggrin2
