Re: Getting ready
Loyd, how was the base bolted to the deck? Ours is thru bolted with nyloc nuts on the bottom but I can't get to them due to the underskin.

Re: Getting ready
Same as yours but no under skin. Chris Using air ratchet under deck and me up top with screw driver it took about a min. to remove. The new Pontoonstuff base is adjustable up and down along with the slide for back and forward movement.

Re: Getting ready
Every thing I think I might have remove later I'm going to do with blind nuts so when I under skin I can still remove them years later if needed, I just need to hunt for some SS ones.
So you now have full adjustably on the Captains seat Lake, lets see some pictures when you get them done and new GPS/Sonar

Re: Getting ready
Fastenal ROCKS, I get all my little bits that I need from them although when it came time to get deck bolts I had to go to pontoon stuff, Fastenal could get them but were not even in the same country for price.

Carl,
I was able to reach my bolts in the captains chair by removing the skirting between the deck and outside tube. I then duct taped the wrench to a short piece of conduit. I added a piece of foil tape on one side of the wrench hole to capture the nut. A little tricky but it worked like a champ.

Re: Getting ready
Getting things ready on our boat as well. I got the JVC radio pulled out on Saturday and replaced it with a Pioneer. I didn't replace any speakers (yet), but the new radio sounds so much better. And now we have an input for the iPod -- the JVC didn't even have an MP3 input to use from the headphone jack on the iPod. This Pioneer radio (DEH-6300UB) has a USB input to have more control over the iPod when it is connected.
Now I just need to get the dual-battery project done. I have the Perko switch, just haven't figured out what all it will take to get this connected -- will have to do some serious thinking on this one
Loyd, now that you are on Eufaula, we'll have to try and get together on the water this summer. We are around the Arrowhead area of the lake.

Sounds great, went to Corps office for annual say use permit. Went around Arrowhead and looks like where we will launch most unless fishing around rock creek.
