you should really think about storing that thing in a warm climate during the winter, say west palm beach, it is 77degrees perfect for storing new pontoon boats

Nice toon! Did you also try a 15p enertia? That setup should handle the 15 pitch.

Tom Schmidt wrote:Congrats! It looks really great, both boat and trailer. My trailer must be a little different, as it does have the 5-pin wiring with reverse lock out.

I'm sitting here at our lake this morning still waiting for a lot of ice to clear, while my new boat remains in the shrink wrap, fully rigged. It's a beautiful sunny day again but rather cool and breezy, in the 40's. I can't imagine being out on that lake, especially given how much further north you are. Even on open water here, I'd be worried about submerged ice chunks floating around. As much as I want to get it wet, I think I'll give it a couple weeks and play it safe.

Enjoy the new toon!
your trailer has disc brakes. I went with drum as im only pulling a few miles. drum brakes dont need the electric lockout as 99% of the time you can still back up with out engageing the brakes too hard (i did some research online on differences). but my drive way is gravel and the my cement drive is a hill. that requires me to use the brake lock out key. its a stupid little metal tab that i have to stick in a slot to prevent the coupler from engagening the brakes. but the key wont stay in the slot by its self and and there is nothing to connect it to or hold it in. I rigged it up with cable and it works good but still super stupid design.

Thanks everone for the compliments! cant wait for the lake to thaw!!!

Your brakes should not engage in reverse if you have your wiring harness plugged in. Once you put it in reverse it disables the brakes. You need a 5 to seven prong adapter though.

Great lookng boat!

What is all that white stuff on the ground?

What is this talk about ice?

Took ours out this weekend a few times but it was a bit cool (temps in the low 70's) so could not spend too much time on the water. Can't wait for spring/summer to offcially arrive as temps look to be in the mid-upper 70's here this coming weekend. Brrrrrr.......
