Poll on your Tire Pressure ??

Just wanted to start a poll on what tire pressure you set your tires on to pull your pontoon ??? Also what size tires you have, 13" 14" 15" etc.

I have 13" at 50#, I have been around trailers all my life [55 years] and we have always used max pressure, every time that I have blown out a tire is because of low pressure only three times. My trailers are all over the place so now I carry a compressor with me to air up my tires.

My max capacity is 55 lbs, thats where they are at! Lower the pressure, the more wear on sidewalls from flexing plus heat build up. I have always had all my tires at the manufacturers max. Only 1 flat in 35 years. Always get good wear patterns. Now that I jinxed myself, again Thats twice today!!!

We have the same tires as Redbeard...
13" load range c ST185/80R13 max load 1480 lbs 50psi max inflation.

You have to pay attention when on the road since pressure can change due to many variables.

I always keep my trailer tires at the max pressure as well. When i mount trailer tires at the shop for customers i always put them at the max pressure as well.

Cars/trucks-I go off of the door sticker with a few exceptions.

I keep all tires on all vehicles and trailers at max psi. Our trailer tires are kept at 50 psi.

Hello All.
I have 13" tires. Max pressure is 65#! I keep it at about 63#. I just got the trailer recently and looked at the tires more than once to see if I was seeing the number right. Now I am a little worried because no one else has 65# max pressure. I will check when it stops raining!!... I keep my cars and SUV tires at or near max according to sticker on door jam.

I run mine at the max rating of 90 psi also. 20.5X8-10 Loadstar E rated tires.

Crap I better check my tires. I have the smaller tires but I don't think I'm anywhere near the 90psi Max. If I recall, I only set them to around 50-55 (I just couldn't bring myself to going any higher than that). This is our first boat and I've never had any trailer before with these little fat tires so I'm just not used to having anything that can have that high of a Max rating.
