Reelin in the years, from the the Steely Dan tune. At 53 years old and just starting to enjoy the lake hoping to reel in the rest of the years.

After tossing around a few names, we settled on "R. Yott" (Our Yacht). In the beginning of our second boating season with her and loving every minute of it!

My original thought for a name was "Music" - both because I'm a music lover, and from line in the Crosby, Stills & Nash song "Southern Cross" where they sing "I have my ship and all her flags are a-flyin' / she is all that I have left and Music is her name".

Rover. Because our place is Good Dog Island. Now what to call our Grumman with the 3hp Evinrude Lightwin?

I think I've officially settled on 'Bayou Dixie' as a name for the boat. I'm in Louisiana, hence bayou. My middle name is believe it or not, 'Dixie', and I'm southern through and through. All makes sense to me :biggrin2

I supply High Density Poly Pipe for Municipalities, Landfill's, Geothermal, etc... We decided to go with "Job Site" on the new toon so when the boss calls and asks "where are you" I don't have to lie to him. :alright

This has been a great read and a amusing trip into some adventurous minds, we have angered the lake gods by not naming our boat 3 years of bad luck, fiberglass damage and new cowen, new motor, and now a new prop. We will be naming our boat this year by the way bad moon thanks for the christening ceremony also a good read.

The leaders in the club house are: Texas revenge ( kinda a pirate theme ), sancha de Texas ( or simply the back door whore of Texas ) and I must say hopefully with us being over a 1000 miles apart I might even steal fat bottom girl with out to many repercussions I like that a lot tonight ( the name not th boat )
