Seat covers for pedestal fishing seats-source?

#1 Post by landlockedsailor » Thu May 16, 2013 4:59 am

I've just spent an hour online looking for seat covers for our pedestal fishing seats. Heck, let's add a cover to the helm captain's chair too. Anybody have a source?

35 gallon trash bag. :donno

I guess since I have a fully enclosed cover, I don't see the point in seat covers. Are you anticipating not using a mooring cover, and instead, covering the fishing chairs / helm?

GXP..., the boat is in our covered slip and goes out almost every day. Would rather not deal with whole-boat cover and instead just cover the seats with something easy to throw on/off. Would also like a bit of sun protection and, until I put bird netting into the roof rafters, be able to keep the bird poop off the seats.

Trash bags best for beer cans, their only nautical purpose. :biggrin2

I checked their sight first-nada. At your suggestion, I went to their eBay store. Only 1 left. Will try calling them today. Thanks!

If you can't find any, try some outdoor patio chair covers found at Walmart, Kmart, etc.
Most have elastic hems, many colors and sizes, maybe a kettle grill cover may work.

I have individual seat covers on our toon, they are great, came from the factory.

Call Ryan at restorepontoon.com, if it's not listed on the website he can still get it. I met him and Andrea (owners of restorepontoon) the other day and there great people and have earned ALL my business. Tell him the other Ryan sent ya, and I'll bet he gives you a better price!

Great! Thanks all! Am going to look for 4 of them, will try recommended vendors first (you know, our toon-friendly suppliers) and of course, throw some names out in hopes of a bit of discount. Failing that, I'll head to the big box stores. I'm sure you'll want to see some pics of the covered chairs (uh huh, sure) so I'll post them when I get them.

Today, we installed bird netting along the roof whatevers to keep the birds from landing, building nests and non-stop pooping. They were NOT HAPPY! Kept dive bombing us as we were on the ladders. I'm considering a used Drone. We'll have lots of them back in the US fairly soon, and maybe I can buy one to fly non-stop up and down our slips.
