#1 Post by wijames » Mon Jun 03, 2013 5:41 am

I need a new fuel tank in the 9 to 12 Gallon range but all of the tanks I am seeing have really bad ratings. Do ant of you have one that you would suggest?

I was really surprised at the bad ratings I'm seeing on the Moller 9 and 12 gallon tanks. Everyone says they leak at the gauge and that the new EPA caps don't vent properly. Any thoughts?

Did you mount it on the back platform or under deck?

Thanks

I got the 18 gallon, we had to put spacers under it to raise it over the bottom fence rails as it was a 1/2 inch to small sitting on the floor

I have a huge rear platform so I think I'll just add a 12 on there and I like the idea of a water separator. Thanks for the idea.

Check with what separator you get, mine can't be in direct sunlight for some reason, might vapor lock it, but the instuctions said not to be mounted in sunlight

It looks like the Ameri Kart 27 gallon tank the dealer installed in my boat is about to be replaced with a Moeller 40 gallon tank that'll fit in the space I have.

Yep, I've spoken to Brett several times on here but have yet to meet him. Looking forward to it.
