Yet to launch my pontoon purchase...

#1 Post by fiddlebick » Tue Jun 04, 2013 7:08 pm

Well I have had the bennington 25 footer for about a month now and still haven't had the weather to co-operate with my days off to get a decent day to try 'er out!! Hopefully this saturday will be the day. I am dying to know how it rides out and what kind of speed I will get out of the 135 four stroke Honda with just me and the wife on board...anyone have an educated guess as to what that speed might approach?

I would guess 30+ so post your speed after your test run and congrats on the new Benny.

I gave up on having any good weekends and took a half V-day today, which was our first time on the water here this year!

I haven't even looked at my prop to see what pitch it is. I do know speeds vary from boat to boat after reading forum posts. I did download the Ulysse app gps for andoid and I love it. I checked it out against the speedometer in my car and it was dead on. I will post the gps speeds after saturday. I am smack in the middel of disc brake installation on the trailer right now.
