250 did seem a little high to me but I would be happy with 200hp for $800-$1200 more, the 150hp is $10,500 and the 200hp (small block) is $13,700

If you want to increase HP somewhat legally, call Eric at Simons Motorsports and see what an ECU flash will get you for HP. For $650 to $800 he can get you into the 150 hp range. He got me an additional 85 out of my 225 Verado.
Just an idea for ya.... Then re-prop.
Check your engine height before you do anything, you may be too low and plowing. Cav Plate should be skimming the surface at WOT and trimmed so its flat, with the water.

Is this an option for Yamaha Outboards?

So I went to a different dealer Friday and they will give me $24K on a trade in for my 2011 South Bay 520CR Yamaha F115 and single axle trailer. That opens up the doors for me to upgrade to 3 pontoons and a 150+hp motor. It will either be a Berkshire 210CL B/BP3, South Bay 520CR B/TT or Xcursion X-21C B/X3 Cruise model with either a 150 or 200 Yamaha four stroke and tandem axle trailer. Basically the same boat as I currently have but with 3 pontoons, more horsepower and a tandem axle trailer.

I've settled on a 2013 Berkshire 230CL CTS BP1 in platinum, with a Yamaha 150 four stroke, stainless prop, ski tow and aluminum tandem axle trailer. Working on the paperwork and financing today. 35mph

Nice SHip. We got our 24 foot bennington on the water last week. Fully loaded 4 adults and 3 boys with gear and full gas tank we were 34 mph. I dont think I had the trim set just right on that. I also didnt do it for long as i only have 2 hours on the engine. will wait to go all WFO till I get about 20 hours on it.

Nice!! Looks near identical to my 2013 South Bay 522CR with Trifecta pkg and F150 Yamaha. I suspect your new toon wil do closer to 40 mph if it has full center tube with lifting strakes and under deck skin. That's what mine will do (gps) with a full tank of fuel (52 gal), 2 people and lots of gear.

Thanks! It is only the 3/4 length center tube. Between Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

Probably not much performance difference between full and 3/4 length tubes since there is a 52 gallon fuel tank in the full center tube.
