Speed and RPM results this week

#1 Post by fiddlebick » Sun Jun 16, 2013 5:58 pm

After running the river this weekend I said I would post some results at WOT. I was running about 5300 rpm's at 23mph on gps. My boat is 25 ft with the honda 135...loaded with a very full large cooler, and four adults. The water choppy at that.

Sounds as if you need to go down a notch on the pitch--if it's a 6000 rpm motor like most of the other 4 strokes.

You're right there with the other 2 toon boats of like horsepower.

Yup, Hondas are 6000 rpm motors. Mines set up for 6100/6200.

I just talked to the local marine sales and they recomended that I drop to a 13 pitch stainless prop. That will have to wait a bit, ol' John is broke right now.
