Sun bed thingy blew off!!

#1 Post by shooter » Tue Jun 18, 2013 3:24 pm

I have an '01 Suntracker 18' Party Barge. Everything is aluminum except at the very back. Over the motor is, what I call a sun bed. It's where my girls lay to read and catch a few rays. Only problem is, it's got plywood under it, which apparently has rotted because as I was towing it home last weekend, it blew off and after retracing my route, I can't find it. I've been searching the internet and can't find a replacement anywhere. Any of you guys know where I might find one? I hope I don't have to make one because my upholstery and aluminum rail mounting skills are nill. Thanks for any suggestions. :donno

The henges have to still be there, so cut you a piece of WP plywood take it to your local upholstery shop and have one made, then screw it back on

Mine is about worn out and plan to use carpet instead of upholstery to replace. Plus mine opens all the way across and plan to cut it so to use changing room the fuel tank half doesn't open.

My sun deck also blew off 1 of the 3 sections two years ago on that night when tornadoes hit Alabama so bad.

It also blew off the 115 plate on my Yamaha 115 hp motor.

Oh well, it was just a good excuse to get a new Bennington.

mine was gone when I got the boat. just used carpet over plywood at first, got new seats from Veada.com at that time they dident make sundecks yet but they sold me matching fabric for my seats and I had them made local.
