Your original post said, "Pulled the new toon out of the water to install FF and...." What's FF?

I'm guessing FF means--"FishFinder"
I often wonder if Jimmy really did crack corn, and why should I care?

Playndoc, just saw your post. Steviam is right. FF is FishFinder. Happily it does a little more than find fish/structure. Lowrance HDS-8. It's sweet! GPS/trip tracking, KY Lake chart, etc. Can pilot the toon on instruments only.

You say "new boat", does that mean new to you or brand new, never used or sold before?

If it's brand new and was sold as a package (mine was), I'd send the pics directly to Sun Tracker with the VIN and model number of the trailer and HIN of the boat. They can check to make sure the right trailer was sent with the boat. They will also know if that was the trailer they sent with with the boat.

If the dealer somehow switched the trailer, either by accident or on purpose, Sun Tracker is on the hook to make sure the situation is rectified, either by them or the dealer. And be sure to mention the great "help" their dealer provided to you.

I know I wouldn't spend upwards to $26,000 for a boat that doesn't fit to the trailer.

Sun Tracker trailers aren't overly built. They do the job, but the bunks and carpet are NOT top of the line. I guarantee that you WILL be hauling it for some distance (for service or vacation or something) and if that outer bunk board splits you may end up with the boat on the roadway, possibly taking out a busload of nuns or something.

Get it fixed NOW. They will be more inclined to correct it now, when it's only a month & 1/2 old, than a year or so down the line.

BoatCop, now THAT I can do!

And, tho it's a 2011, it was new from the dealer. Thx for the suggestion. BTW, I would have gotten the trailer fixed no matter what. Too scary to take it on the road, nuns notwithstanding. It's in the slip now for the summer so there was no urgency. I will contact Suntracker next week! Thanks again for reading my missive on the topic!

The saga continues... At BoatCop's suggestion, I decided to try for a new or fixed trailer from the dealer. I started by mailing a certified letter to the dealer nicely telling them the trailer didn't fit the boat. I also included my 2 pics of the toons on the bunks. I asked how they would like to resolve it (replace or repair), and to please let me know within 10 days as I was looking forward to safely trailering the boat.

It's been 8 days, no word yet.

Assuming my planned followup call on day 11 will net nothing positive from them, I will then contact Suntracker. Sigh...Still loving the boat though and having a ball!
