We are getting unseasonably cool (and welcome) temps right now. Last year at this time it was hovering in the low triple digits with head indexes of 110-115. It's 79 and on the water probably about 75 with a nice breeze out of the NNW. Forecast is for mid to upper 80's for the rest of the week.
Last year we would wait until the early evening, but if there wasn't any breeze it was damn uncomfortable.
I don't envy you Alan. I don't care if it is a dry heat; stick your head in the oven-that's a dry heat too.

Weather here on Canada Day was fantastic - probably the hottest of the year. Our outdoor gauge reckoned it was 32degC (90degF) and that was plenty hot enough for me.

Stay safe out there people - you've got some silly temperatures sown south.
I just got back from boating to Canada Day along with a few hundred others. Great fireworks. I slept on the boat like a baby. Thank God it wasn't 120 degrees!
Dryden is a great town. I played in the band there a few times.
Years prior to that, the 'Dryden Highway' used to be called the 'Nickel Lake Road'. It was just a cow path at the time. We spent many happy days canoeing up that way.

No kids....but I can see me lounging 'tween the 'toons on the hottest days here.....
