Not for my pontoon but for my jon boat... Looking at an 18hp Evinrude tiller steer. Runs good, no known issues. What is an average fair value? He is asking $500. This is from a friends father in law.

If it is in like new condition 500 would be fair. If in average used condition 300

Sounds like alot for a 30+ year old motor that's only 18hp... I would imagine it would be tough finding parts if need be.
