how about a positive dealer experience for a change

#1 Post by hootowlhollow » Wed Aug 07, 2013 1:22 pm

just wanted to share a good experience we had when we bought our pontoon. we went to Hawkeye boats on Dubuque, ia. They opened for us after hours. Made suite we knew what we wanted a tritoon. They took us out on the boat and showed us how to run everything on the boat. I told the guys as we were heading in to the ramp we weren't going to take delivery puff this boat. Man his mouth dropped open. I said with a grin thru had forgot to mount the ski bar on the back. They apologized and sent us home. And delivered the boat 2 hours away to our front door the next week. They also followed up about a month later and asked if we had any questions. Great service here on a really nice bennington tritoon.

We got our boat from Jerry Rinker (Rinker's Boat World) just after he took the entire Bennington stock from Houston Boating Center just before the Houston Boat Show in Jan. '08. We had been looking at pontoons for two years - I had never owned a boat. We had liked the Benningtons a lot but not the dealer. We had found the JC pontoons through Jerry but had some small issues with them. Did not like the Sanpan dealer. Loved the Premier dealer but they only sold I/Os - wanted outboard. When we walked into the '08 Houston Boat Show and saw that Jerry was now the Bennington dealer, we were in a show special in two weeks. I cannot say better things about Rinker's Boat World as our dealer. When he delivered our boat, he brought his mechanic up to go over stuff I would have never thought of. He is a great guy and a great family to deal with. We have been to many tri-hull races where this 65 year old fart shows the younger drivers how to win. They do not sell Bennington now - only Xcursion, Moomba, Rinker, and Sea Hunt. They are a fabulous family to work with.

AJ runs a tight ship! They are great to work with. My Bajas came from Hawkeyes satellite store in Low Moor. Wish they were still there. Congrats on the new boat!
