Fuel wouldn't fit in my budget, but then I guess that's at full speed, but dam you use over half of your fuel in an hour and if you were running in a straight line you wouldn't make it back.

Even at slow speed I don't want to pay for two engines running sucking fuel either.

105 gallon x 3.26 per gallon = 342.00 for a hour an 3/4 fun at full speed

I actually see the market for this very clearly (not a big market, but it is there in my opinion). There are plenty of folks on big fresh water lakes that have that kind of $$ tied up in bow riders and I think everyone on this forum can probably attest to the diversity and simplicity of a pontoon boat. I have had off-shore fishing boats, expensive MasterCraft Wakeboard boat, the Q7 Tahoe, etc. The boats ranged from $40K up to $90K and guess what, I have put more headache free pleasurable hours on my Bentley and Southbay than all those boats combined.

Sure, the dollars involved will automatically cut a bunch of prospects out of the market and you need a pretty decent sized body of water to justify the size and cost but I would take one of these ANY day over a comparably priced high end open bow 27-30' boat (i.e. Sea Ray/Larson/Cobalt/etc.) that I was going to use in protected water (meaning not ocean going).

My $0.02....

P.S. I do think twin 300's is overkill but hey, the guy buying this probably does not have a tight budget for fuel.

What a beautiful boat?

But it is really is a little ridiculous for a party barge made out of a bunch of aluminum "barrels" welded together. I mean it's not like the boat's a Cigarette boat or a full hulled boat that's designed to handle 600 horsepower.

Make it easier to dock with the twin screws though. :lol3 They need to add the joystick then it would be a blast sliding it in sideways . :smoke

$150K to do 63mph? Ill sell you mine for $45k. There is a guy here that bought that 600 I/O Southbay, paid I heard $139, and I think thats about how fast he was going when I drove away from him. JT

JT, your motor and outdrive setup is worth 45k! I would'nt mind one of those Extreme jack plates!
Actually, I could see twin 300's on a Manitou SHP, if they would build it for me, I would buy it!

I don't have the need, money, or want for some of the $50K+ cars and trucks some others drive on a daily basis, but I can appreciate them and don't bash others for it. They are beautiful boats, no doubt. Obviously, there are a few people in the vicinity of this vessel that love speed (look a little closer in the back ground). There will always be a place for extreme any thing...cars, trucks, boats, houses, motorcycles, etc etc etc. As long as there's a market some where, build it! Kinda like the fairer sex, I like to look at them all :lol3

And honestly, I would have guessed it faster. I realize there's the extra drag and weight to deal with, but I would have guessed it to hit 70-ish. Maybe I should test it myself :nana

I would if I could. Why would you not want a pontoon that is big , comfortable and fast.

Good catch. That's is Brad Rowland's South Bay in the back, isn't it? The one that hit something like 114 at the LOTO Shootout in August.
