Day off and cleaned the boat!

#1 Post by Bryden24shp » Sun Sep 29, 2013 6:28 am

Turn Around at work is finally over. After spending the summer in the plant and out of the boat, the boat was really showing some neglect. Friday I took her out and spent the day cleaning...DEEP CLEANING!
After spending 4 hours on the interior, it looked fantastic! Then the call... Grand Daughters want a ride! So, picked them and the "Way Better Half" up at the dock and went to our newly dredged beach to search for shells and play in the sand. Beautiful day! I need a summer re-do! But at least I got one great day in!
Exterior and touching up the pontoons polish job are next, that will take a day or two!
Enjoy the pics!

You're road ready in cleanliness--for a long, wet winter.

I clean my boat thoroughly about May 1st. I'm almost through making my slipcovers now. That tree sap and spider droppings are killers on vinyl--even with 303 applied.

Yep, that spider crap is like cement! I have the cover on it now. Otherwise it sat under the boatport uncovered for the 2 months I was working straight 12's. Now that we are done, I'll be back to my normal shift rotation with a lot more days off. Hopefully I can make up for some lost river time. That's the reason we bought the S-Series, with the full windshield installed, we can hunker down and take it out in cold weather.
Thanks for the comments, funny how I hate cleaning the garage and basement, but love cleaning my boat and truck. The wife's car....No way... Unt uh!
