I try to get out during the week when it is quite, so we did see a few and seen a few spots were big gators had beat down the grass and weeds going up on land, but then my brother and I always look for signs, even if we haven't hunted them in a few years.

The last time we hunted, we went and stayed at a farm, after the trapers sons went through cleaning out the easy ones, we never got the virgin hunting areas, we got 22 in 48 hours, and got the big one that was eating on all the others, just about everyone we caught had a piece of them missing or had major battle scars.

And sorry Pete I missed your question about the bugs, we don't have them bad as up north, now if you out after dark you might get a few skeeters depending on where your at.

That was the first thing I thought of when seeing the photos. The skeeters are so bad by us that we literally couldn't walk in or boat around any wooded or boggy areas this summer.

It was also a brutal year with horse flies. We went on one walk and our dog sprinted her ass home after being chased by horse flies. There were hundreds dive bombing her!
Just verified it on Snopes. Liberals are complete mouth breathing idiots.
