When we were looking for a tritoon ten years ago, we made a long weekend and went to Lake of The Ozarks because the lake has alot of boat traffic. We were able to look at alot of boats in a short amount of time.

Now is an excellent time to buy as people do not want to hold a boat all winter, and no one wants to buy one now. We got a bargain on our previous toon when we bought it used in September. We kept the boat for 6 years and sold it for $200 less than we paid for it.

I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people.. I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem work itself out.

If this is a real deal you better go jump on it right now...Makes me a little nervouse that there's no specific location given, and the seller has no FB record in the last month. Would want to check it out in person...some times the scammers find dormant ebay accounts and hack in to them...you'll know it's a scam if they don't want to meet in person.

Just as I suspected...they took it down. If it seems to good to be true.......
Just one boat...after another, after another :-)

Scammers take pictures of boats off the internet then place for-sale ads on Cragislist with ridiculous low prices. If you google the boat ad you may see many ads on Craigslist for the same boat, all claiming the boat is available in a different city. The scammers appeal to that innate desire in us to get an unbelievable deal. What they do is get many people to send "good faith" deposits, claiming they will hold the boat exclusively for them and not show it to anyone else.

Of course, they can't show the boat. They don't own it, nor know where it is. They take the deposits and disappear. Then, they take another picture from Boat Trader or whatever and start over. People in Nigeria are living like kings doing this.

The largest pontoon dealer anywhere is T&M Marine, north of Minneapolis.

He stocks hundreds of toons and is Tahoe/Avalon's largest dealership. And he has a big internet business, and will deliver boats anywhere.

It appears that whenever Avalon/Tahoe has a dealership that fails, or a dealership that cannot provide wholesale financing after they've ordered boats, T&M has the resources to pickup the pontoon/tritoons at bargain basement prices.
Sometimes their prices are good, and sometimes they're great.

It's just a long way to north/central Minnesota from the center of the U.S. population.
