Trim motor very sluggish -- What am I looking at?
Noticed earlier this season that my trim motor was having some difficulty raising my 90hp. Today as I was closing the boat down for the season I could hardly get it to raise. How much am I looking at to replace the motor....I'm not even sure that's the problem, but I figured it was. How difficult are those to replace?

Have you checked the hydraulic fluid on the tilt and trim?

Also, check your battery and all connections. I had a bad connection one time which caused the exact problem you are describing...

Thanks for those suggestions. I have not checked the hydraulic fluid. Also, I added a 3 battery charger so the idea that I have hooked something back up wrong is a real possibility too. Thanks

check fluid level, add as needed and run it up and down a few times to self-bleed. Replace the motor and/or pump as a last resort.
